SUBJECT: Further Details on the Expansion of Listing
Months for Natural Gas Futures, Natural Gas Swap Futures, and Natural Gas Penultimate Swap Futures
Contracts
Please be advised that the Exchange will expand its listing of its Natural Gas
Futures (NG), Natural Gas Swap Futures (NN), and Natural Gas Penultimate Swap Futures (NP)
Contracts.
Beginning on February 17 (for the February 19th Trade Date), the Exchange will
expand the listing of consecutive contract months to the current year plus the next twelve years
through December 2020 for the Natural Gas Futures, Natural Gas Swap Futures, and Natural Gas
Penultimate Swap Futures for trading on the NYMEX trading floor and trade submission through NYMEX
ClearPort® Clearing.
Also as of February 17, the listing of Natural Gas Futures (NG) on CME Globex® will
expand to the current year plus the next eight years, for a listing through December 2016.
This expansion will also apply to the listing on Globex® of Natural Gas Calendar Spreads and
Strips.
Currently, all three contracts are listed for the current contract year plus five
additional years.
Originally announced for the end of January, the launch date for this expansion has
been revised to the dates above to accommodate NYMEX customers and vendors who had requested the
change due to technical concerns. These firms have expressed their readiness for the new
scheduled date.
